Sharni Vinson is an Australian actress, dancer, and producer born in New South Wales. A third-generation performer, she trained for a decade at Sydney’s prestigious Brent Street School of Performing Arts. Additionally, she was a nationally ranked competitive swimmer.

She rose to prominence in Australia as Cassie Turner on Home and Away, earning a Logie nomination before relocating to the United States. Vinson went on to achieve international recognition as the lead in Jon M. Chu’s Disney hit Step Up 3D, followed by starring roles in Blue Crush 2, Bait 3D, Patrick, and Dragon Blade.

Her critically acclaimed performance in Adam Wingard’s You’re Next established her as a standout in the horror genre, earning Best Horror Actress at Fantastic Fest and cementing the film’s status as a modern cult classic. Vinson most recently starred in and served as co-executive producer on Netflix’s The Guardians of Justice and appeared on Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains.
